There is no objection to wearing masks for protection against illness, and this does not invalidate the prayer. It is an exception to the disfavorability of covering the mouth and nose in prayer, due to necessity. There is no objection to anyone who stays away from congregational prayer in the mosque for fear of contracting the illness. And whoever is known to be infected with the epidemic should be prevented from entering the mosque to prevent harm to people.
