Why was "the way of Allah" (سبيل الله) mentioned in the noble verse: (O David, indeed We have made you a successor upon the earth, so judge between the people with truth and do not follow [personal] inclination, as it would lead you astray from the way of Allah. Indeed, those who go astray from the way of Allah will have a severe punishment for having forgotten the Day of Account) [Surah Sad/26], instead of "My way" (سبيلي), when the speaker is Allah?

Allah Almighty commanded His Prophet David, peace be upon him, to judge with truth among people, and forbade him from following caprice, which leads astray from His path. This command and prohibition were to legislate for the nations of the prophets.

The expression "Allah's path" instead of "My path" or "Our path" is a rhetorical device known as "disclosure in the place of ضمير (pronoun)", and it aims to magnify the importance of Allah's path and to condemn whims and other paths that deviate from it.
