If the heirs of the deceased are limited to those mentioned, the estate is divided as follows: The daughter receives one-half for being alone, the mother receives one-sixth due to the presence of a descendant heir and a number of siblings, and the husband receives one-fourth due to the presence of a descendant heir. What remains after the sharers (ashab al-furud) is for the full brother by way of ta'sib (residuary heirship), while the uterine brother receives nothing because he is completely excluded by the daughter. The common denominator of the estate is twelve, so it is divided into twelve shares: the daughter takes six shares, the mother two shares, the husband three shares, and one share remains, which the full brother takes.
