The days of the two Eids are days of joy and happiness, distinguished by certain acts of worship, manners, and customs, including: taking a ritual bath (ghusl), wearing new clothes and adorning oneself with them, applying the finest perfumes (for women, within their homes), uttering the Takbir (from the sighting of the moon for Eid al-Fitr until the Imam exits for the sermon, and from the morning of the Day of Arafah until the last of the Days of Tashreeq for Eid al-Adha), visiting relatives, neighbors, and friends, offering congratulations by saying "Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum" (May Allah accept from us and from you), being generous with food and drink, and engaging in permissible amusement free from musical instruments and শর'i transgressions.
