Is it disliked or forbidden for men to wear certain colors, and what is the ruling on wearing a striped red thobe and a red ghutra that covers the head?

There is no forbidden or disliked color for a man to wear except silk. Therefore, he is permitted to wear red, green, yellow, and black. It is recommended for him to wear white clothes, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Wear white from your clothes, for they are among your best garments, and shroud your dead in them." It is also permissible for a man to wear a red thobe and a red shemagh, as it was narrated from Al-Bara' bin 'Azib: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and and blessings be upon him, was of medium height. I saw him in a red suit, and I have never seen anything more beautiful than it." And Al-Bukhari titled a chapter: "Chapter: Prayer in a Red Garment," and he cited a hadith from Abu Juhaifah in which it states: "And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, came out in a red suit, rolled up."
