Do the persistence of the aforementioned symptoms during ruqyah indicate healing?
It is advised to continue with ruqyah (Islamic exorcism), seek help through prayer and supplication, persevere in acts of obedience, and avoid sins. Ibn Battal reported from Wahb ibn Munabbih a treatment for magic using seven green Sidr leaves, which are to be crushed and mixed with water. Ayatul-Kursi and the Mu'awwidhat (Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Nas) are then recited over the mixture, after which some of it is drunk and the rest used for bathing.
Similarly, one may consult ruqah (exorcists) known for following the Sunnah and avoiding deception, or correspond with renowned ruqah. It is also possible to consult doctors, as there might be a psychological or organic problem.
It should be clarified that ruqyah is permissible and seeking lawful treatment for the wife is also permissible.
