Is all the virtue hoped for from voluntary fasting and prayer, just as it is hoped for from piety and prayer?

Piety (taqwa (definition)) is the ultimate goal of acts of worship such as prayer, fasting, and Hajj, and it is obligatory. Prayer is among the best deeds after the two testimonies of faith, and it is the best act God has ordained for drawing closer to Him. Voluntary prayers erase sins, elevate ranks, and efface transgressions. Fasting intercedes for its observer on the Day of Judgment and admits him into Paradise.
