Did the Messenger of Allah, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him, give a gift to one of his wives, or did any of the Companions give a gift to his wife, and what is the legal evidence for that?

Many forms of a man's gift to his wife were not mentioned during the time of the Prophet, peace be upon him, perhaps because they were intertwined with maintenance or due to the state of destitution at that time. However, proving its virtue does not depend on that, for the Law encourages gifting in general to increase affection, and the wife is the foremost person deserving of her husband's gift. It is part of a man's good treatment of his family that he be the best of them to his family, and that he feed her, clothe her, and treat her with kindness, as Allah Almighty says: (And live with them in kindness). The Prophet, peace be upon him, had a beautiful companionship, was always cheerful, joked with his family, and provided generously for them.
