Is it permissible for a Muslim who practices sodomy and desires to repent, to choose between immigrating as a gay refugee or committing suicide?

A person's admission of their mistake is the beginning of the right path. Through prayer, remembrance of Allah (dhikr), and recitation of the Qur'an, repentance from heinous acts is possible. One must hasten to sincere repentance that fulfills its conditions and not despair of Allah's mercy, for returning to sin without prior resolve is not considered persistence. Residing in lands of disbelief increases temptation (fitna), and emigration is obligatory for whoever fears falling into temptation or has already fallen into it. Suicide is forbidden and does not solve problems; rather, it leads to torment. The only path is repentance, turning back to Allah, and seeking refuge in Him. Your avoidance of marriage may be an effect of sodomy and the whispers of Satan. Therefore, seek refuge in Allah, perform ruqyah on yourself, and be diligent in fasting and associating with righteous people.
