Do the statements made by the husband, such as "I will divorce her" or "I will leave her," during marital disputes, invalidate the marriage contract?

Phrases such as: "I will divorce her," "divorce her," or "I will leave her" are a promise to divorce and do not entail anything, and the marital bond remains intact. It is permissible for a Muslim man to marry women from the People of the Book (Jews and Christians) if they believe in their prophet and their book, based on the Almighty’s saying: "And [lawful in marriage are] the chaste women from among the believers and the chaste women from among those who were given the Scripture before you." It is desirable for the husband to be keen on teaching his wife about Islam and encouraging her to embrace it through good treatment, based on the Almighty’s saying: "And live with them in kindness." Despite the permissibility of marrying a woman from the People of the Book, marrying a righteous Muslim woman is more preferable as she can help the husband in his religion and in raising their children upon Islam.
