What is the ruling on reciting verses between the Eid takbeers that precede the Eid prayer, and is this an innovation (bid'ah)? And what is the ruling on listening to them, knowing that it is impermissible to prolong the letter Ba in the last takbeer?

Firstly: Reciting the Quran and saying "Takbir" (Allahu Akbar) are acts of worship. However, combining them in a specific manner and dedicating them to a specific time, or believing in a special virtue for them without legitimate evidence, is considered an innovation (bid'ah). This is based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever introduces into this matter of ours that which is not from it, it is to be rejected." Acts of worship are based on divine law, and anything for which there is no evidence is not to be established.

Secondly: Regarding the ruling on listening to someone who worships in this innovative manner, there are two cases: 1. If listening implies approval and commendation of this form, then it is forbidden, because it is obligatory to denounce evil. 2. If the listener disapproves of this innovation and is compelled to listen due to their inability to change the situation, then they are excused, based on Allah's saying: "Allah does not burden a soul beyond its capacity." [Quran 2:286] In this case, one should strive to engage in the legislated Takbir instead.

Furthermore, it is not permissible to abandon the Eid prayer with those who engage in innovation if there is no other mosque available; abandoning it is an even greater transgression.
