Is it permissible to assist a sick person with tayammum or wudu' while they have medical devices on their hands, and if so, how is it done?

The sick person must purify themselves with water from both minor and major ritual impurity. If they cannot perform ablution (wudu') themselves, someone else should help them perform it.

If they cannot find anyone to help them perform ablution, they should perform tayammum (dry ablution), even if it is on a wall or a bed, provided there is dust on it, or they can carry dust with them.

If tayammum is not possible, they should pray in their current state.

It is permissible for you to help the sick person perform ablution by pouring water on them so they can wash their limbs, or you can wash their limbs yourself if they are unable.

As for rinsing the mouth (madmadah) and sniffing water into the nose (istinshaq), if the sick person cannot perform them and you also find it difficult, there is no harm in omitting them. However, after completing the ablution, they must perform tayammum.

Regarding tayammum, if the sick person cannot perform it themselves, you should strike your hands on dust and then wipe their face and hands with them.
