Is it permissible to perform tayammum by wiping over the face and hands, above the medical adhesive and the needle embedded therein, when unable to perform ablution (wudu')?

It is not permissible to switch from Wudu' (ablution) to Tayammum (dry ablution) except in cases of inability to use water or fear of harm from its use. A sick person unable to perform Wudu' himself is obligated to find someone to help him perform it, whether for a fee or otherwise. If he cannot find someone to perform Wudu' for him and is able to perform Tayammum, then Tayammum is permissible for him. However, if he is able to perform Wudu' himself or with the help of others, then he must wash the healthy limbs and wipe over the affected ones.
