Is it permissible to pray missed (obligatory) prayers in congregation?

It is permissible to make up a missed prayer in congregation. This is based on what is narrated in Al-Bukhari and Muslim, among other collections, regarding the story of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his Companions sleeping through the Fajr prayer, whereupon he arose, ordered Bilal to call the Adhan, and then led them in prayer.
