What is the remedy for the languor that afflicts a Muslim, and how can one remain steadfast in faith in an age of temptations? And how can a Muslim be saved from having the Book precede him, so that he acts with the deeds of the people of Hellfire, even while he performs the deeds of the people of Paradise, as stated in the Hadith of Ibn Mas'ud?

This hadith should motivate you to strive diligently and perfect your deeds, while being wary of the despair and hopelessness that Satan desires. None of us knows our ultimate destiny in Paradise or Hell, but the path to salvation is through worshipping Allah, adhering to His obedience, and acting according to His law: "So whoever is removed from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has indeed triumphed." It is recommended to associate with the righteous, attend lessons of knowledge, gain understanding in the religion, and frequently remember Allah.
