The answer

Firstly: Islam urges the preservation of lineage and honor, thus it has forbidden adultery and anything that leads to it, such as a man being alone with a foreign woman, unlawful gazing, and a woman speaking in a soft, alluring voice. Online conversations and correspondence between men and women are a gateway to temptation and evil, and they have brought much tribulation and falling in love upon those involved. Therefore, one must stay away from them. Sheikh Ibn Jibreen was asked about the ruling on correspondence between young men and women, and he forbade it due to the temptation involved, even if the correspondent believes there is no temptation.

Secondly: The fasting person is commanded to fear Allah Almighty. The purpose of fasting is not merely to abstain from food and drink, but to achieve piety, refine the soul, and stay away from evil deeds, because sins can nullify the reward of fasting.
