Is it permissible to take souvenir photos while performing the rituals of Hajj?

If the pictures are of inanimate objects, it is permissible to keep them. If they are of living beings and were taken with a camera, the preponderant opinion is that it is not forbidden. It is best for the pilgrim to avoid doubtful matters and to utilize the season for worship.
