Is it permissible to take pictures in the holy sites while raising one's hands in supplication solely for the purpose of photography, and does this invalidate the Hajj?

Taking pictures of pilgrims in a place of worship is impermissible for two reasons: First, the intention behind it is often to keep the pictures and memories, which is forbidden. Second, it is usually not free from ostentation, as the person takes pictures to show people that they performed Hajj. It is permissible to take a picture out of necessity to prove Hajj for another person, provided that it is torn up afterwards, because the intention behind it was not merely to keep it as a memory or for possession.
