Is it permissible for a young man who experiences same-sex attraction to live with another young man in a foreign country to reduce expenses? And is it permissible for him to continue his life with a young man without engaging in sexual acts? And is he sinful merely for admiring a young man while his attraction to boys persists?

A man's feeling of inclination towards other men is a trial from Allah. He must strive against his lower self, seek refuge in Allah through supplication for well-being, associate with righteous people, and observe regular remembrance (dhikr). It is impermissible to be alone with a young man or to establish a romantic relationship with him to fill emotional voids, as this is a means to forbidden acts and will worsen the affliction. Mere admiration is permissible as long as it does not lead to forbidden infatuation (ishq) or perversion. If you turn to Allah sincerely, He will save you from your current state; otherwise, re-examine yourself.
