How can we reconcile the preference of some messengers over others with not differentiating between any of them, and why did the Prophet prohibit preferring him over Yunus ibn Matta?

Allah Almighty has favored some prophets over others, and the resolute prophets are the best among them, and Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, is the best of them. Differentiating between messengers does not mean not favoring some over others; rather, it means believing in all of them and not disbelieving in any of them. The Prophet's prohibition against favoring him over some prophets is understood to be out of humility or a prohibition against favoring out of tribalism, and not a prohibition against general favoring that is established by the Quran and Sunnah. Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, is the master of the first and the last, and there is no harm in saying that, as long as it does not lead to belittling any of the prophets.
