What is the ruling on exchanging indecent messages via Bluetooth, such as lewd dances by actresses, and how can one advise the husband if such a thing is seen without informing him that his wife saw it?

Everything that displays 'awrat (parts of the body that must be covered) or necessitates a man looking at pictures of foreign women is haram (definition) (forbidden); because it promotes indecency, and it is cooperation in sin and aggression. These dances involve exposing 'awrat, arousing desires, and facilitating corruption. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The eye commits zina (unlawful sexual intercourse), and the heart commits zina, so the zina of the eye is looking and the zina of the heart is wishing, and the private parts either confirm that or deny it." Whoever guides others to this is sinful and bears the burden of what he watched and the burden of everyone who watches it. These reprehensible acts include music that is forbidden by consensus. The husband must be advised gently and kindly, and reminded of Allah.
