Is it permissible to limit the practice of masturbation to weekends in order to reduce it, and what is the ruling of Islamic law on that?

Masturbation is forbidden, and one must repent from it by immediately ceasing the act, regretting what has passed, and resolving never to return to it. It is not permissible to gradually abandon it or to have the intention of returning to it.
