What is the ruling on a man teaching a mixed group of male and female students, knowing that the female students are immodestly dressed and wear revealing and tight clothing, and is the money earned from this work permissible?

Men and women must be separated in classrooms, with male teachers assigned to males and female teachers to females. A Muslim must also avoid seeing immodestly dressed women (mutabarrijat) lest he falls into the forbidden. It is permissible for a man to teach women when necessary, such as when there is no female teacher, provided that he lowers his gaze, and teaches them what is necessary for correct belief and worship, while being keen to urge them to cover themselves and to manage the separation between genders. The money earned from this teaching is lawful if the Sharia controls are met, otherwise, it is unlawful. Muslim societies need to exert great efforts to revive faith and divert young people from what harms them, and direct their energies towards what benefits the Ummah.
