The question

How does God send Chinese and Africans to Hell when He did not send them a messenger from among themselves who spoke their language, citing the verse: (And We did not send any messenger except with the language of his people so that he may make [the message] clear to them. Then Allah leaves astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise)?

The answer

Allah Almighty sent His Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to all people in the language of his people (Arabic) to clarify matters for them, not only to his people. This does not contradict His saying, the Almighty: ﴿And We did not send any messenger except with the language of his people to make [things] clear for them﴾ [Ibrahim: 4]; because he began with his people, then his followers carried the call to all other people in their own languages. The Qur’an was revealed in Arabic so that Muslims would unite upon one book. As for whoever the call of Islam has not reached and upon whom the evidence has not been established, he is excused and his matter is with Allah. But whoever the evidence has reached and the Qur’an has been translated for him, if he does not believe, he will be in the Hellfire. Indeed, the translation of the Qur’an does not diminish the value of the faith of whoever follows what is in it. Contemporary reality proves that the language of the Qur’an is not an obstacle to its conveyance to the world.
