What should a girl of good character, religious devotion, and beauty do when no one proposes to her for marriage due to her family's bad reputation among relatives, when she suffers from continuous bleeding that prevents her from praying for months, and when she feels unhappy despite her prayers and supplications to God?

We ask Allah for the sister's recovery and for her to be blessed with a righteous husband. The best way to achieve this is to frequently supplicate to Allah Almighty and to remain steadfast in religious observance, for He says: "And whoever fears Allah – He will make for him ease in his affair." There is no objection to her offering herself, or for her guardian to offer her, to a righteous man. Her relatives must fear Allah and cease slandering people with falsehood and calumny, for Allah Almighty says: "And those who harm believing men and believing women for [something] other than what they have earned have certainly borne a slander and a manifest sin." And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "O you who have believed with your tongues but faith has not entered your hearts, do not backbite Muslims, nor seek out their faults. For indeed, whoever seeks out their faults, Allah will seek out his faults, and whoever Allah seeks out his faults, He will expose him even in his own home."
