How should an engaged woman deal with her fiancé's two sisters, who hate and mistreat her, and spread false information about her to their family, especially since she will be living with their family in the same house?
It is advisable to accept a suitor if he possesses good character and religious commitment, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "If someone whose religion and character you approve comes to you to seek marriage, then marry him. If you do not do so, there will be tribulation on earth and widespread corruption." In the case of marriage, it is recommended to counter the animosity of the husband's sisters with kindness, good words, and overlooking their shortcomings, acting upon Allah's words: "Repel [evil] with that which is better; then behold, he between whom and you was enmity [will become] as though he were a devoted friend. But none is granted it except those who are patient, and none is granted it except one having a great portion [of righteousness]."
