Is it permissible for a man to use sandalwood oil, which has a beautiful fragrance, even though the custom in his country is for women to use it exclusively, and would that be considered imitating women?

There is no objection to men using sandalwood oil, and the fact that women use it is of no consequence. It is permissible for a man to perfume himself with his wife's perfume, based on the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Bathing on the day of Jumu'ah is obligatory upon every adult, and using a miswak, and applying perfume as much as one can, even if it is from his wife's perfume."
