What is the ruling on marrying a young man who is moody and quick-tempered, given her prior knowledge of his disposition, knowing that he is unaware that she has lost her virginity and repented to Allah, and should she complete the marriage to him or not, and what should she do if another young man proposes to her who knows what happened to her and wishes to marry her?

All praise is due to Allah for guiding you to repentance. It is not permissible to undergo a hymen repair surgery due to several Sharia-related prohibitions, such as exposing private parts (awrah), encouraging fornication, and deceiving the husband. We advise you to conceal your past sins and not inform anyone about them. If your husband asks you about the loss of virginity, subtly explain to him that it can be lost due to many reasons other than intercourse. As for your current husband, be patient with him and try to reform him. If he does not change, you have the right to seek divorce before consummating the marriage and having children. After divorce, if you find someone who knows about your loss of virginity and agrees to marry you, there is no objection. Do not tell him about your past sin if he is unaware, and use allusive speech (tawriya) regarding the hymen.
