Is God's legislation, revealed to our master Muhammad, peace be upon him, better than previous legislations, or is each legislation best in its own time?

Every law (Sharia) of the previous prophets was suitable for those to whom they were sent, differing according to times and circumstances. However, the major principles, which are of benefit and wisdom in every era, do not differ. The law of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, is the best of laws, his book is the best of books, and his nation is the best of nations, because the Quran is a confirmer and a guardian over the previous scriptures, encompassing their virtues and adding perfections to them. The scholars have explicitly stated its superiority due to its association with the best of messengers and the best of books, and because it comprehensively gathers all essential benefits and their fulfillments, thus perfecting the completeness of the religion.
