Should I reject a suitor of good character and faith who possesses ambition and future plans to travel and pursue postgraduate studies, on the grounds that my family fears I won't be able to bear his financial circumstances at the beginning of his life, or should I accept him, relying on Allah and His promise to bear responsibility, considering that a brilliant future awaits him, and based on the saying of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: "It is not befitting for a believer to humiliate himself"?

It is recommended to marry the aforementioned young man because he possesses religious commitment and good character, which are the qualities considered legally suitable, and because he is adorned with good attributes such as his activity and ambition. Allah Almighty says: "And marry the unmarried among you and the righteous among your male slaves and female slaves. If they should be poor, Allah will enrich them from His bounty, and Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing." There is no humiliation of oneself in this, and some female Companions married poor Companions and were happy with them.
