What is the ruling on reading truncated or obscured verses and hadiths on electronic devices due to scrolling, and what is the correct way to do so?

There is no harm in the appearance of some truncated verses or texts when browsing on a mobile phone or computer, provided the intention is pure and the aim is good. Accountability arises when there is an intention to mock or play around. Merely searching and browsing with good intentions carries no sin, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Actions are but by intentions, and every man shall have but that which he intended."
