The answer

People from among the Muslims will emerge from the Fire, recognized by the marks of prostration. Allah has forbidden the Fire from consuming the marks of prostration, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "They will recognize them by the marks of prostration, for Allah has forbidden the Fire from consuming the marks of prostration on the son of Adam." However, prayer may not prevent a worshipper from entering the Fire if he is negligent in his prayer, as Allah Almighty says: "So woe to those who pray, [but] who are heedless of their prayer." He may delay it beyond its prescribed time, or neglect its obligations. Also, a worshipper might be committing sins and injustices, and thus enter the Fire because of them. As for establishing prayer in the correct manner, it indeed prohibits indecency and evil.
