How is an inheritance divided among a husband, a daughter, and a son's daughter?

If the deceased leaves behind only a husband, a daughter, and a son's daughter, then the husband receives one-fourth due to the presence of a lineal descendant (inheriting branch). The daughter receives one-half because she is the sole daughter. The son's daughter receives one-sixth as a complement to the two-thirds. The remainder is returned to the daughter and the son's daughter, excluding the husband. Thus, the estate is divided into sixteen shares: the husband receives four shares; the daughter receives nine shares (as a prescribed share and by return); and the son's daughter receives three shares (as a prescribed share and by return).
