How is the inheritance divided if the heirs are: one son, a husband, and two daughters?

If the deceased left no heirs other than the husband, a son, and two daughters, the husband receives one-fourth due to the presence of a lineal descendant, based on the Almighty's saying: "But if they have a child, then for you is a fourth of what they leave, after any bequest they [may have] made or debt." The remainder goes to the son and two daughters by virtue of ta'sib (residuary heirship), with the male receiving the share of two females, based on the Almighty's saying: "Allah instructs you concerning your children: for the male, what is equal to the share of two females." Thus, the inheritance is divided into sixteen shares: the husband receives four shares, the son receives six shares, and each daughter receives three shares. It is advisable to refer matters of inheritance to the Sharia courts to verify the absence of wills, debts, or other rights that take precedence over the heirs' entitlement.
