What is the ruling on shortening the prayer while traveling for hunting or searching for camels for a distance exceeding 90 km, according to the Maliki school of thought?

Traveling for hunting involves a detailed explanation: If it is for a need and livelihood, then it is permissible, and one may shorten the prayers (Qasr) during it. However, if it is merely for amusement and diversion, then it is reprehensible (makrooh), and it is disliked for one to shorten the prayers, though his prayer is valid according to the most correct opinion, and he does not need to repeat it.

As for traveling to search for camels, it is permissible to shorten the prayers for whoever is certain or predominantly believes that he will cover the distance for shortening prayers before finding them; otherwise, he should not shorten them.

It is a condition that the travel distance, for which shortening prayers is permissible, be 83 kilometers or more.
