What should a girl do if she has been falsely and slanderously accused of adultery, and possesses no proof of her innocence other than God's testimony?

The tongue must be guarded and protected from slandering people's honor. Falsely accusing a chaste, married woman of adultery is a major sin and an evil deed. The perpetrator is a transgressor whose testimony is rejected and who is to be flogged eighty lashes. If someone accuses their own slave of adultery, the punishment will be carried out against them on the Day of Judgment. Whoever seeks out the private faults of their Muslim brother, Allah will seek out their private faults and expose them, even if they are in the innermost part of their home. A woman falsely accused of adultery is not required to provide proof of her innocence; rather, she is innocent by virtue of her Islam. No one is permitted to accuse her except with lawful evidence (four upright witnesses or her own confession). If she is in a country where Islamic punishments are not enforced, she must fear Allah Almighty in secret and in public, seek Allah's help and be patient, and repel accusations and doubts about herself through her guidance and conduct, and turn to Allah with sincere supplication.
