Is it obligatory to put up with a wife who bore false witness and caused her husband to be humiliated and imprisoned, or is it better to separate from her in order to protect himself, his children, and his wealth?

It is regrettable that a marital relationship has deteriorated to the point of insults, verbal abuse, physical assault, and police intervention, as spouses are meant to be a comfort to one another, especially with the presence of children. We advise patience with the wife and hoping for her rectification, as staying with her is better.

Patience and forgiveness are among the most resolute matters, and doubts should be abandoned, for "indeed, some assumption is sin." Marital problems are natural, and divorce should not be resorted to unless cohabitation becomes absolutely impossible.

Someone who can reconcile between the spouses and the wife's family should intervene, as mistakes have occurred from both sides, and all of this is from the temptation of Iblis. Reconciliation is better. May Allah guide us and you to what He loves and approves.
