Is divorce considered a permissible solution for marital problems arising from differences in customs and traditions, especially if the wife refuses to live with the husband's family during his travels, and is this decision considered disobedience to parents?

What the wife desires in terms of freedom of movement (entering and exiting), and not serving or obeying her husband, contradicts the spirit of Islam and the husband's role as maintainer. As for the wife mingling with the husband's family and assisting them with household services, while observing the Shariah limits, it is permissible but not obligatory. She has the right to refuse it and demand a separate dwelling. Divorce is subject to the five rulings of Islam, and it becomes permissible when there is a need due to the wife's bad character or lack of chastity, just as it is permissible if he does not feel secure with her in his bed. Both of them must offer sincere repentance for the mistakes and disobedience they committed before marriage.
