How do people move from the Earth to the Path (As-Sirat) that is above Hell, and then from the Path to Paradise?

There is no religious text that clarifies how people will move from the plains of resurrection to the Sirat (bridge). The Sirat is a bridge extended over Hell, and scholars have differed on the location of Paradise and Hell. Dr. Omar Al-Ashqar stated that the correct approach is to refrain from definitive statements on this matter due to the absence of explicit texts. There has also been disagreement on whether the land of gathering (Ardh al-Mahshar) is our current earth or another, based on the verse: ﴿On the Day when the earth will be changed to other than the earth, and the heavens [as well], and they will come forth before Allah, the One, the Irresistible.﴾ [Ibrahim: 48].
