How can a mother's desire to disclose family secrets and a daughter's desire for privacy be reconciled, while maintaining filial piety and avoiding the mother's anger?

The rights of parents are great in the sight of Allah Almighty, and Allah has coupled the command to worship Him with kindness to them. The right of the mother to dutifulness and kindness is even more emphasized. Therefore, the questioner should be patient and open-minded with her mother, overlook her mistakes, and strive to be dutiful to her, gentle and soft-spoken in dealing with her. It is permissible to advise and guide her without raising one's voice, or blaming her, or saying anything that would anger her.
