The benefits and fruits of prayer are many. It is the second pillar of Islam and the distinguishing factor between a Muslim and a disbeliever. Whoever abandons it has disbelieved, according to the most authoritative opinions of the scholars. The first thing a servant will be held accountable for on the Day of Judgment is their prayer. If it is sound, they will succeed; if it is corrupt, they will fail. For more details, one can refer to specialized books such as "Kitab al-" by Ibn al-Qayyim.
