What is the legal (Shariah) position of a wife who found a condom and sexual stimulants in her husband’s car that he does not use with her, knowing that he neglects her and rarely approaches her intimately? Should she confront him or seek a divorce? And what should she do if he requests intimacy, but she fears God’s wrath and illness?

To deal with the situation, one should know crucial matters: his relationship with his Lord (prayer and glorification of rituals), his relationship with his wife (good treatment, generosity), his relationship with his two children (attention and attachment), and his relationship with his family (kindness or harshness).

If his response is positive and he is a good person, then one should not rush to confront him and demand a divorce, while consulting a gynecologist regarding intercourse to take preventive measures, and trying to attract him and keep him away from forbidden acts through indirect means.

However, if his response is negative and he is abusive, it is advisable to refer to one of the wise members of your mahrams to consider the decision of divorce.
