Is it permissible to omit the conjunction (waw or fa') from the beginning of a Quranic verse when writing it?

It is not permissible to omit part of a single word written from the Quran, as this could create the illusion that the verse is in that form. This is evidenced by the Prophet's (peace be upon him) preservation of the letters when citing verses, such as his saying: "No soul knows what has been hidden for them of comfort for eyes." As for quoting the Quranic style in speech, it is permissible to omit the conjunction for someone proficient in the Arabic language, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) did in his letter to Heraclius: "Peace be upon whoever follows guidance." Therefore, omission is permissible in what is not intended to be the Quran, but for the Quran, its wording must be presented in full without addition or omission.
