Is it permissible for a girl to go out and participate in demonstrations supporting Sharia and rejecting the coup without her parents' consent?
The predominant reason parents prohibit their children from participating in marches is fear. If participation poses a danger, then obedience to them becomes obligatory. Sheikh Ibn Baz made it imperative to seek permission when danger is present, even if the outing is for a good cause. Some scholars have issued an absolute prohibition, without restricting it to danger, such as Abdul Karim Al-Khudair, who stipulated the father's permission for an unmarried daughter to go out.
It is an act of filial piety to seek permission from parents before going out. Al-Qarafi held that the obligation of filial piety renews after puberty, and Ibn Uthaymeen considered not visiting a female friend without the father's permission to be an act of piety towards them. The reward for honoring one's parents is preferred over some other acts of piety, such as emigration () and non-obligatory jihad. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded a man to stay with his parents instead of going for jihad.
It is obligatory to avoid harming parents and to obey them in leaving supererogatory acts, expediting time-flexible obligatory prayers, and forsaking communal obligations (fard kifayah) if there are others who can perform them. Supporting and upholding the truth is not limited to one specific form, and a Muslim woman has many avenues through which she can accomplish this.
