Does the warning in the noble verse: ﴿Indeed, those who believed, then disbelieved, then believed, then disbelieved, then increased in disbelief – never will Allah forgive them, nor guide them to a way,﴾ include one whose apostasy and falling into major shirk was repeated, then he repented and turned back while he was in his youth?

We advise sincere repentance, diligence in uprightness and obedience, and caution against shirk (definition) (associating partners with Allah) and seeking help from Allah. It is recommended to frequently recite the supplication: "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from associating partners with You while I know, and I seek Your forgiveness for what I do not know." For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful; He forgives all sins through sincere repentance. One must utter the word of Tawhid (definition) (Oneness of Allah) after every lapse, and regularly perform prayers and attend circles of knowledge, and read books of encouragement and deterrence. It is not permissible to despair of Allah's mercy, as He, the Almighty, says: "And indeed, I am the All-Forgiving to him who repents, believes, and does righteous deeds, and then is guided" and "Say, 'O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.'"
