Does divorce occur if a woman speaks with a man at work for work-related matters, even though her husband told her: "If you speak to a man at work, you are divorced by your own admission"?

The relied-upon fatwa is that if a man conditions his wife's divorce on a certain event, the divorce occurs when the condition is met. So, if you spoke to any men at work, you would be divorced with a revocable divorce if it were the first or second, and an irrevocable divorce if it were the third. Ibn Taymiyyah holds the view that this wording depends on the husband's intention: if he intended divorce, it occurs; but if he intended a threat to compel you to refrain from speaking, it does not occur, and he must pay an expiation for breaking an oath. We advise you to stay away from any work that leads to your mingling with men and to obey your husband if he asks you to leave your job.
