Is there any truth to the claim that the Samarkand Quran copy proves its distortion?

The copy of the Mushaf (Qur'an) that Muslims read today is the one that the Companions agreed upon, and they approved Uthman's decision to burn all other copies. Ali ibn Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, even said: "Had he not done it, I would have done it." Marwan destroyed the Mushaf that was with Hafsa after her death, fearing that someone might imagine it contained anything contrary to the established Mushaf. Therefore, what is raised regarding this issue is baseless and clearly false.
