What is the ruling on listening to music without desire and the sin therein, and what is the ruling on the Samiri without preparing for the Zar?

If a person is compelled to be in a place where there are forbidden musical instruments and songs, there is no sin upon him if he turns away from them in his heart and pays no attention to them. He must also enjoin good and forbid evil according to his ability. If they do not desist, he must leave their company, for Allah, the Almighty, says: "And He has already revealed to you in the Book that when you hear the verses of Allah disbelieved in and ridiculed, do not sit with them until they engage in another conversation. Indeed, you would then be like them. Indeed, Allah will gather the hypocrites and disbelievers in Hell all together." Therefore, it is not permissible to willingly sit in such gatherings.
