The marriage of a young girl has no relation to this deviance, for the two matters are entirely different, just as Allah distinguished between trade and usury. Marriage is permissible, made lawful by Allah, and there is a vast difference between one who marries a young girl for her to grow up with him, and one who seeks out young girls to satisfy his lust, then abandons them when they grow up. The Sharia has magnified the matter of guardianship, for the father is responsible for his daughter and must choose what is in her best interest, and he will be questioned about his guardianship on the Day of Judgment. Observing societal norms regarding the age of a girl's marriage is based on Islamic considerations of benefits and harms, for the Sharia is built upon achieving and perfecting benefits and nullifying and minimizing harms.
