What is the authenticity of the narration mentioned about Thabit al-Bunani, and did he mean by "raising" something similar to the raising of Idris, and is his grave empty now, and is this supplication permissible?

Al-Lalaka'i reported that Thabit's trace was not seen in his grave after his burial, and that he used to supplicate: "O Allah, if You have raised some of Your servants, then make me one of them." However, Abu Nu'aym reported otherwise, indicating that Thabit used to pray for Allah to permit him to pray in his grave, and he was seen. It cannot be definitively asserted that his grave was empty of his body. Thabit's elevation is not like the elevation of Idris, peace be upon him, to the fourth heaven. Supplicating for the body to be raised from the grave holds no merit and may constitute an transgression in supplication. However, supplicating for elevation in status and rank in the Hereafter is legislated.
